What Jesus says on Why he came

Matthew 5:17   Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 9:13   But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew  10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew  10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.  10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

John  14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

John  14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
